BOTSWANA & ZAMBIA & ZIMBABWE 2026

In the Wild Heart of Africa

80 photographs

Experience the untamed soul of Africa. This gallery is a tribute to the pristine landscapes and fascinating wildlife of Botswana, Zimbabwe, and Zambia. On this page, I present a personal selection of impressions that invite you on a visual journey through three of the most spectacular natural realms on the African continent. The journey begins at the majestic Victoria Falls, bordering Zimbabwe and Zambia. Revered by the local Tonga people as Mosi-oa-Tunya – The Smoke That Thunders – the mighty Zambesi River plunges into the depths as a roaring force of nature, creating towering clouds of mist with breathtaking intensity. Moving onward to Botswana, we explore the famous Chobe National Park. Its vast riverfront landscapes are home to monumental herds of elephants, offering unforgettable moments in the warm, golden light of the savannah. The true heart of this collection, however, is dedicated to the deep wilderness of Zambia. In the South Luangwa National Park, we encounter a true zoological rarity: the elegant Thornicroft’s giraffe. This distinct subspecies lives entirely endemic to the Luangwa Valley and can be found nowhere else on Earth in the wild. I invite you to immerse yourself in these images, feel the magic of the moment, and experience the fascination of this wild world face to face.
